Nip in the Bud works with mental health professionals to produce short films and fact sheets to help parents, primary school teachers and others caring for and working with children to recognise potential mental health conditions. Their goal is to increase the prospects of early intervention and to reduce the risks of those conditions becoming more serious in later years.

The films were directed, shot and edited by New Planet Films, and we worked with them to create some animated break-out sequences. The challenge was to create visuals that helped depict the scenarios and symptoms surrounding each of the mental illnesses. We created these sequences for three of the films, all of the illustrations were drawn by the talented Tom Ralston, and I animated the visuals and aided in the storyboard process.

Below are the full films, so you can see how these animated segments were used. The films are outstanding; informative and beautiful, and we were very proud to be involved in such a quality production and a worthwhile cause .
